Today we talked about 9/11. I think it is an aweful thing for someone to do. I don't know what I would do if I had any family member involved in the accident. I probably wouldn't forgive anyone for something like that. It has effected many peoples lives in ways I can not imagine. I'm so glad we live in a place where the people are smart enough to know that running a plane into a building is stupid and a horrible thing to do. The terrorists obviously didn't care about anyone other than themselves.

My name is Ashly Campbell. I was born in Sandy, Utah at Alta View hospital on October 4th, 1995. I lived with my grandparents for the first year of my life while my dad was building our house. I have lived in the same house for my whole life. In 2007 we remodeled our house by ripping the roof off, adding a second garage, and adding another level. I have 8 people in my family, 4 brothers and 1 sister. I am the second oldest. I had a dog named Cocoa from the day I was born. She died last October. Now I have another dog named Tia. She is crazy and wild but I love her.
I love to play basketball. I was on the Copper Hills basketball team and I’m planning on trying out again in November. I love to read and hang out with my friends in my spear time. I work for my dad at his office. I clean and do paper work for him. My best friend in the whole world is Kalah. I can tell her anything and she’ll understand.  That’s my life.
What is history? That’s kind of a hard question to answer. To me, history is what happened before us. It is what the world is today.  History is very important to life. History is past events that have shaped the world. It is who our grandparents and their grandparents and their grandparents did to make the world a better place.
Why is history important? History is important because it helps us understand who we are and where we came from. It helps us understand what things went wrong and not to it again. The world is full of mistakes that don’t want to be repeated. There are many tragic memories that people may want to forget but it is part of history and will never be forgotten.
What do I know about the the foundation of the USA? The foundation of the USA is when the pilgrims came across the United States, when George Washington won the Revolutionary War, when the Twin Towers were destroyed, the signing of the Declaration, and the Civil War. It is how we are free to vote for the people who run the country. It is the right to speak our minds and not get judged for it. The United States of America is a free country, the ultimate dream.
